He studied Philology at the University of Tashkent and Kiev. He had his Ph. D. At the Institute of World Literature in Moscow

He published 18 books.
He prologued and translated collections of poetry by Solomos and Palamas, two novels by Kazantzakis, etc., in Russia and Ukraine. He also translated an “Anthology of Russian fiction 1830-1916”, in Athens.
He published collections of poetry in Greece and Russia.
His translated poems circulate in Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Bulgaria and Hungary.

He collaborated with encyclopedias in Greece and USSR.
