Studies

In 1969, he gets admitted to the preparatory department of the School of Fine Arts, where he learns painting and drawing under Professor N. Nikolaou and L. Kanakakis.

At the same time, he meets his fellow painter and teacher Y. Moralis, who was very interested in his work. He continues his studies on engraving by K. Grammatopoulos, with a scholarship from the Hellenic Scholarship Foundation.

Other information

In 1977, he studied a new type of engraving, the artistic silkscreen (serigraphie). Together with the artist Ap. Pirounidis, he opened up a workshop, which remained open until 1993. He collaborated with famous artists, like Gikas, Tsarouchis, Nikolaou, Moralis, Spyropoulos, Kessanlis, Tetsis, etc. The last 15 years, he has been studying modern photography techniques for his painting. The colours, the light and the water are the dominant features in his recent work.
